APS reflects on the 3rd pension seminar hosted on June 28th, 2019 as a success and step in the right direction for the future. The bi-annual seminar has a track record for being well attended and this year welcomed over 250 guests at the Maho Sonesta Beach resort. Feedback received included: “Very interesting seminar”, “topics were
real informative” and “well organized seminar”.
The general pension fund of Sint Maarten has set high standards for itself as professionals and for the service delivery to its participants. The objective of the seminar was to share the new Strategic Agenda and developments with its participants and stakeholders. In sharing these developments, APS’ focus was to share the inclusive
nature of the development of the fund and commitment to securing financial sustainability and development in Sint Maarten for the generations of today and the future.
Complementing the seminar’s theme: APS into the Future, the new APS logo and website was presented and launched during the seminar. The presentations and Strategic Agenda of APS are on the new website www.apsxm.org and Facebook page of APS.
Participants were engaged as the seminar featured a Q&A session, welcoming a wide range of questions from the floor. APS plans to continue to host informative events for its participants, including small-scale sessions on the pending pension reform plans. These sessions will commence in the 4th quarter of this year. Persons who would like to know more about their individual situation can contact APS directly and are welcomed to visit the office from Monday – Friday opening hours 8:30 am until 3:30 pm.
