Orphan’s Pension
If an APS participant or pensioner has passed away, their children are entitled to an orphan’s pension up to the age of 27. Between the ages of 18 and 27 the children should be in school and not married in order to receive an orphan’s pension.
The orphan’s pension is 28% of the senior’s pension of the deceased parent. For half-orphans, the orphan’s pension is 14% of the senior’s pension of the deceased parent.
